Capital Punishment is an issue that is debated all around around the world. People argue whether this punishment should be legalized or not. In this essay I will show reasons in favour capital punishment and some others against it.
Capital Punishment is already legal in many places around the world. A reason for this is that they believe that criminals may not commit a crime just by knowing that they could not only go to jail but also die. Another reason in favour of capital punishment is the fact that the government makes sure that the condemned criminals won't be able to commit a crime again. In addition in favour of death sentence is that the families of the victims receive the justice they supposedly deserve as well as the criminal gets retribution for whatever he did.
Even though death penalty is legal in many places all over the world. There are more countries in which capital punishment is illegal and this is because this is because these people believe taut by killing the criminal you are also committing a crime which would make them criminals as well. Another reason for being against this form of punishment is it puts innocent lives at risk since they may be wrongfully convicted and there's no going back from death. This is portrayed in the movie " The life of David Gale" in which a man is wrongfully convicted and killed and this proved that innocent people can be killed by this punishment.
As a conclusion I would like to explain why, after analyzing all the reasons, I can say that I am against capital punishment. This is because it has been proven that the fact that death penalty is legal doesn't prevent crimes, another reason is that a lot of people change during their life in prison and you can't be sure that they would commit a crime again. I don't believe this punishment can be called justice since you are killing another human being.
